I do not know either. A coincidence: you do not know and I do not know. What are we doing?

We live happily with the idea we can’t know everything.

Can we know anything at all?

Yes, we know we don’t know anything. So we know something.

The tree and Edvard Munch’s The Scream?
In the mood for love is a film by Kar Wai. There is a story about the secret that you do not want to share.
You go up a mountain, find a tree, carve a hole in it and whisper the secret into the whole. You cover with mud. The secret will stay there forever.

That tree reminded me of that painting.
I loved In the Mood for Love but I don’t remember that part. It’s sweet but the tree on the picture doesn’t make me want to whisper my secret to it. Perhaps it’s a nightmare-eater. Who knows ?
